STAYING STRONG IN ADVERSITY - Rimanere forte nelle avversità

Dear Friends and Benefactors,

Once again we have the opportunity to inform you of the work being undertaken in South Sudan. Although receiving little coverage in the media the situation on the ground remains challenging with signs of social unrest increasing as individuals turn to theft and violence to survive. Please continue to keep our people on the ground and those they serve in your prayers.

We have recently known that our compound in Malakal has been very damaged in the latest attacks. The personnel we had in the UN camp had to be evacuated also.

As our strategic planning process continues, some Governing Board Members are preparing to visit South Sudan to meet with the Bishop's Conference to review our Memorandum of Understanding and clarify how best we can proceed. Please pray for the success of these meetings, that we might strengthen our sense of Solidarity and collaboration to better serve the people of this struggling country.

I thank you for supporting Solidarity to respond to the difficulties and challenges that so many needy people are experiencing.

Joined in prayer for Peace, yours in Christ

President of Solidarity with South Sudan.
